Victoria Learning Centre - About Us

For over 40 years, Victoria Day Care provided children with clean, loving, and nuturing care. After a long career, in December 2013 the owner decided to retire. Her objective was to let the centre flourish under new ownership that could provide care for children based on the solid foundation of quality staff and facilities she leaves behind.

Under our new management, our vision is to invest in staff, programs, facilities, and equipment to provide a top quality child care, learning experience, and developmental growth environment for your children.

Focus on Quality

We believe the quality of our care and programs are paramount to ensuring your child gets the best child care experience. We monitor and implement quality through two major initiatives:

1) Raising The Bar

We voluntarily participate in the region's Raising The Bar Quality program to monitor the quality of our overall centre. It is our goal to be evaluated as Triple Goal year after year.

2) Environment Rating Scales

We put an even more rigourous emphasis on quality by implementing and reviewing robust assessments of our programs under two environment rating scales:

The Infant/Toddler Environment Rating Scale-Revised (ITERS-R)
The Early Chidhood Enironment Rating Scale-Revised (ECERS-R)

Using these evaluations allow us to ensure we are providing your children with a top quality child care experience by focusing on 7 key areas ranging from activies and interaction to space and furnishings.
